We look forward to meeting you soon! Your first visit, which is free of charge, will be very relaxed, with ample time to meet Dr. Will and ask him any orthodontic questions. At this appointment, Dr. Will performs a thorough dental and orthodontic evaluation to determine what, if any, orthodontic problems are present, the ideal time to treat those problems, and the best treatment options for you or your child. Digital photographs will be taken so that we can review the examination findings and send you home with helpful information.
We schedule these initial visits when the practice is quiet so Dr. Will has time to focus on you and/or your child without any distractions. He wants to hear what changes you would like to see and address your main concerns.
A few common questions always seem to pop up with regards to the first orthodontic exam:
“Is anything going to hurt?” - Nothing is going to hurt! After taking a few pictures of the teeth, Dr. Will looks in the mouth and makes a few measurements.
“Am I getting braces or a retainer today?” – Nope. While we may begin your orthodontic treatment the very same week, the first visit is a time for you to get to know us and for us to provide you with information about your treatment.
“How much will it cost?” - If now is the right time to begin orthodontic treatment we will provide you with a financial estimate and discuss the various payment options to make this investment affordable. Please see our financial page for more information.
