Orthodontics
Dr. William Schlicher didn’t dream of orthodontics since he was a young boy, but once he discovered that was his passion, he was all in. The real reason behind his love for his career, are the people he gets to serve. It’s all about the people. He loves building relationships with people in his community and getting to be a small part of their highs and lows in life.
Philosophy
Delivering honest care is his top priority. Unlike many orthodontists, he won’t recommend treatment unless you need it. He’s told many patients they don’t need orthodontic solutions. When orthodontics is the right path for a patient, he listens closely to their goals and gives them every option to achieve it. He empowers them through education to make the best decision for their smile. Patients trust him with their care, and he doesn’t take that for granted.
Education
He attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and earned his degree in physiology and minor in English. Continuing his education in Boston, he graduated cum laude with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the prestigious Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. He completed his three-year specialty orthodontic training at the University of California San Francisco where he served as chief resident earning his Master of Science degree in Developmental Biology and his orthodontic certification.

Home Life
Growing up in Lafayette, Dr. Will and his wife feel right at home in the Pleasanton community. They have two sons and one cat they love spending time with. Making memories in the community, they enjoy frequenting The Dairy, biking Pleasanton ridge, eating around the dinner table, road tripping, and spending time on the lake. Dr. Will also enjoys training for and competing in triathlons, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, cycling, swimming, and golfing.
