Phase One
We are very discerning and pragmatic when it comes to recommending early treatment. Please come see us especially if you have had an option suggesting you start treatment for you child between the ages of 6-10. If needed to achieve a superior long lasting treatment, the goal of Phase One treatment is to help the jaw develop in a way that will accommodate all of the permanent teeth and improve the way the upper and lower jaws fit together. In this phase, the remaining permanent teeth are left alone as they erupt.
Phase Two
The goal of the second phase is to make sure each tooth has an exact location in the mouth where it is in harmony with the lips, cheeks, tongue, and other teeth. When this equilibrium is established, the teeth will function together properly. Phase two usually involves full upper and lower braces.

Self-Ligating Braces

Self-ligating Pitts braces allow for fewer office visits which means fewer “tightenings” and all while keeping treatment duration to a minimum and maximizing results.

For many patients, clear ceramic Damon braces offer a more discreet solution with all the benefits of metal braces. They do not stain like the clear braces of the past and are very popular among teens and adults.
Emergency Care
If you’ve experienced a traumatic event or severe pain and think it’s an orthodontic emergency, call our office and we’ll help guide you. Once you become a patient in our office, you will have Dr. Will’s personal cell phone to reach him after hours and on weekends.
Aligners
While Invisalign is the most well known aligner company, did you know that there many other effective aligner options? Dr. Will is constantly evolving as the aligner landscape evolves. We will discuss first if aligners are an option for your goals and second, which aligner brand will best suit your treatment plan. These would include Invisalign, Spark, Clarity and uLab aligner solutions. You are not a one size fits all person and neither is one aligner brand the best for every patient.

Yes we even try to have fun with our younger patients and their braces. Wildsmiles is a unique alternative to traditional braces. They are specially designed brackets that come in a variety of shapes like stars, hearts, soccer balls, flowers, and footballs to personalize your orthodontic experience.
Skeletal Expanders
There are options for resolving crowding that may include widen the dental arches that reduce the need for teeth removal. They are not for everyone but can be a very nice option for the right patient. And they may help with people suffering from narrow airways that cause snoring and sleep disordered breathing.

You are 3D and so too should your orthodontic imaging be in 3D. The days of flat x-rays with distortions and limited information are behind us. We are able to keep radiation very low while obtaining comprehensive imaging of the teeth, jaws and airway.
What age should my child see an Orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a check-up with an orthodontic specialist no later than age 7. Interceptive orthodontic treatment around this time can help direct proper tooth positioning and/or jaw growth, eliminating or simplifying the need for later treatment. Early orthodontic evaluation will give your child their best opportunity for a healthy, beautiful smile.
Complimentary Consultation
An orthodontic consultation with Dr. Will is complimentary and informative. He is trained to spot potential concerns with future jaw issues or emerging teeth. Your child’s bite may be fully healthy, we may need to monitor potential concerns, or we may need to intervene early to help lay the foundation for a healthy smile. Early treatment may prevent more serious problems from developing and may make treatment at a later age unnecessary or less complicated.
